	DJ, How the west is promoting war; with lies and propaganda, using trillions of tax payer money for war-industry share holder profits may reflect on "pandemic strategy" (or lack of it...). The first/major step in ANY crisis is gathering data, trying to get a picture on events and inform those that need/have a right to know... In "the west" denial of both pandemics and climate collapse are a new normal. The only priority is keeping the west exploiting the rest of the world...a 0,01% very rich claim to "own" the planet. Sticking to that insanity is destroying Earth. Humans are not "self destructive"-the west is destroying the world... The basic pandemic is insanity. The "west" has to realize giving up western domination-working on an equal basis with the rest of the world-is the better option. Blowing up the globe if "we can not control the globe" may be "unwise and unwelcome".... DJ-People own their own lives...It is NOT a government job/right to order all people to accept all kinds of medical interventions...For some-higher risk-jobs there may be more rules-a.o. on vaccination. But for now it looks like we are giving up on many things that did increase life expectency. Clean water, sewage, basic health care, monitoring for health risks are not "a waste of tax money"...they did improve lives for the people... 	DJ, Family planning, "planned parenthood" saved a lot of women from having lots of children before they were 25...A limited number of children-at an age where care can be given-with also (medical) support has shown to be a so much better alternative... - The idea of public health was the outcome of lots of pandemics (cholera, malaria, pox) that may have been a bigger problem in Europe, Asia/19th century then it was in the (early) US. So the idea of tax funded public health may be "European import" for the US. This may explain why the US is doing such a bad job in containing/stopping diseases. Another factor is the US may produce a lot of goods for a domestic market. Countries that need to export (agriculture) goods face critical customers with a choice where to buy there goods. Most Dutch milk, eggs are exported-facing countries with rules on import. In the US food safety rules may be made (more) by food producers-producing mainly for a home market.
