DJ, Welcome increase of critical voices;

https://www.rijnmond.nl/nieuws/2001243/rotterdamse-partij-voor-de-dieren-botst-frontaal-met-landelijke-top-de-partij-is-zichzelf-niet-meer or https://www.rijnmond.nl/nieuws/2001243/rotterdamse-partij-voor-de-dieren-botst-frontaal-met-landelijke-top-de-partij-is-zichzelf-niet-meer  ;

The Rotterdam faction of the Party for the Animals is leaving the national party. The reason is the support that colleagues in the House of Representatives give to the rearmament of Europe. But there is more: "Animals, nature and the environment are no longer the most important thing."
In a statement, council members Ruud van der Velden and Sabrina van de Peppel write that the Party for the Animals 'is no longer itself' since the new faction in the House of Representatives describes itself as 'left-wing'.
They think that the party leadership goes along too much with 'the war rhetoric that now also characterizes other left-wing parties'. According to the Rotterdammers, their party is thus contributing to the arms race, which costs hundreds of billions.

'Weapons do not solve conflicts'

Van der Velden and Van de Peppel argue that their party's position has always been that weapons do not solve conflicts but exacerbate them and that the arms race is only in the interest of the arms industry.
The group in the House of Representatives has changed course, deviating from the election program and without consulting the members about it, the statement says.

Total invisibility

According to the Rotterdam council members, the Party for the Animals is no longer itself because 'the transcendent interests of animals, nature and the environment' is no longer the most important thing for the party.
DJ, Also the Dutch SP, Socialist Party is getting more critical...In trade unions, Bij1-a smaller party-youth movements, Jewish groups, other religious organizations also protests start.

The last thing this planet needs is more weapons...Somehow "politics" did go for sale to promote the war industry ?
